Reaching For The Impossible

About the artwork

Reaching for the Impossible is about the human desire to achieve what initially appears beyond reach. The airplane represents movement, exploration, opportunity and the desire to go somewhere beyond our present circumstances. The figure reaching toward it represents ambition—the willingness to stretch oneself in pursuit of a dream. The painting intentionally blurs the boundary between reality and imagination. It suggests that many great achievements begin as something that exists only in the mind.
