Kindred

About the artwork

Kindred considers the beauty of connection between women who share more than physical presence. The three women, adorned in vibrant gele, appear distinct in character yet united in spirit. Their closeness suggests a relationship formed through shared identity, culture, joy and experience. Here, kinship is not restricted to blood; it can be found in the people with whom we share understanding, laughter and belonging. Kindred celebrates the possibility of finding family in one another.
