Blossoming Within

About the artwork

The work was inspired by the idea that beauty can grow from within us before it becomes visible to the world. The woman represents an individual discovering and embracing her identity. The flowers growing around her symbolize experiences, memories and qualities that gradually become part of who she is. The butterflies represent change — the understanding that identity is not fixed, but continually developing. Rather than presenting Blackness through stereotypes, the work celebrates it through colour, nature, dignity and self-discovery.
